Dr Dominic Murphy Senior Clinical Lecturer, Combat Stress


Dr Dominic Murphy worked at King’s Centre for Military Health Research (KCMHR) and at King’s College London (KCL) from 2003 to 2010. During this time he completed his PhD, published a number of research articles, presented at conferences and offered supervision to postgraduate students. He has remained a member of the department at KCL within KCMHR ever since.  Between 2010-2013 he completed a second Doctorate, but this time in Clinical Psychology so that he could practice as a therapist.  In addition, he also has a Masters in Psychology.  Since 2013 Dr Murphy has worked for Combat Stress as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, setting up and running the research department within Combat Stress.  As part of this role he is the research lead for Combat Stress and is responsible for formally accessing treatment outcomes and disseminating the results.  In addition, he works clinically treating Veterans who experience symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
